Episode Thirty-Eight: Creating A Life You No Longer Want To Escape From, with Kath Elliott

Creating A Life You No Longer Want To Escape From with Kath Elliott

In this week’s episode I sat down with Kath Elliott, the Alcohol Mindset Coach.

Kath’s world was completely rocked when just six weeks after making the decision to take an extended break from alcohol, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

This shocking discovery led Kath down a vigorous path of research as she sought to understand more about the link between alcohol and breast cancer. What she uncovered confirmed her worst fears. Hundreds of studies highlighted a direct link between low to moderate alcohol consumption and breast cancer.

This discovery and her own unique personal experience inspired Kath to become an advocate to promote awareness around the dangers of drinking so that more women could be armed with the necessary information.

Today, Kath is cancer free and shares how her diagnosis gave her the opportunity to slow down and become present – to focus on all of the ordinary beautiful moments that we often take for granted.

Kath shares how the decision to remain alcohol free has given her a profound shift in her perspective in life and has allowed her to develop a real appreciation for herself. She describes it as “finding home in your heart.”
